Vision therapy can help patients:
During a vision therapy treatment, a specially educated occupational therapist leads patients through a series of progressive therapeutic eye exercises designed to help the eyes and brain communicate better.
Vision therapy specifically addresses something called neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to modify, change and adapt. It also helps to ensure both eyes work as a team.
Each patient will receive a treatment plan personalized to their specific health condition and goals.
The number of vision therapy sessions a patient needs will depend on the seriousness of their health condition. Most patients notice improvement after a few weeks of vision therapy.
Vision therapy works best when paired with continued exercises at home and visits to your optometrist or referring physician. Our occupational therapist will follow up with referring physicians during your treatment.
