Kara Febus, BSN, RN, has been promoted to Cancer Administrator, effective immediately.
Kara will oversee the Radiation Oncology Department and Oncology Information at Grand View Health’s Cancer Center, part of the Penn Cancer Network. She will report directly to our partners at Penn Medicine.
“Life is all about learning and growing,” Kara says. “I’m looking forward to continued growth, both personally and with the team in terms of growing our Cancer Program.”
A skilled and compassionate registered nurse, Kara has worked at Grand View Health since December 2001. She spent 23 years caring for patients in Pediatrics and Maternal Child Health. There, she trained in all areas, including pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, NICU and postpartum.
Last July, Kara stepped up into the role of Lung Care Navigator, serving as a guiding light for individuals with lung nodules and lung cancer.
Kara displays exemplary collaboration and communication skills. She’s been recognized by her colleagues and patients as a nominee for the Ellis Greenspan Memorial Award for nursing excellence (2019) and a nominee for a DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses (2023).
Kara earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, graduating summa cum laude in May 2014. She had previously earned her nursing diploma at St. Luke’s School of Nursing. She’s currently working toward her Master of Science in Nursing at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania and is on track to graduate from that program in May 2026.
