Employees, first responders and local officials, along with leadership from Penn Medicine gathered at the helipad for a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony marking the official opening of Grand View’s recently accredited Level II Adult Trauma Center.
Since January, while pursuing accreditation, the Grand View Health Trauma service has admitted more than 450 patients, while assessing and treating more than 1,100 patients.
In his comments to the group, Doug Hughes, SVP and Chief Strategy Officer said, “As the father of three children of driving age, this is one of those investments you hope you never need, but rest easier knowing it’s here, just in case.”
We are grateful to all of the departments and people who have worked so hard to prepare our trauma center so we can serve our community close to home.
