Get to Know Grand View Hospital

In 2023, Grand View opened a 190,000 square foot, six-story hospital addition called the Pavilion. Our legacy hospital is referred to as The West Building. There are multiple connections between the two buildings. Patient rooms are located in both buildings.

The main entrance to the hospital is located on the ground floor of the Pavilion on Lawn Avenue and is open 6:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. After 8 p.m. patients and visitors should enter and exit through the Emergency Department at the back of the new Pavilion.

Grand View’s Emergency department and Level ll Trauma Center are located at the back of the Pavilion where there is convenient patient parking. Open 24/7, this entrance should be used by all maternity and all Emergency Department patients.

Constructed to accommodate miliary-level helicopters, the helipad on the sixth story of the Pavilion makes it possible to transport critically ill or injured patients to and from Grand View’s Level II trauma center.

The Pavilion features a multi-level lobby. The Mezzanine is accessible by elevator and features tables, an ATM machine, charging stations and a café with grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, snacks and breakfast items, as well as Starbucks coffee drinks.

Adjacent to the Patio Café is a terrace with umbrellas and seating. The tranquil setting is perfect for enjoying a snack, a moment of reflection or enjoying the garden view with a friend, co-worker or family member.

From mother and newborn gifts to personal items like toothbrushes, phone chargers and deodorant, the Gift shop on the Mezzanine is here to help your visit be as convenient and comfortable as possible.

Grand View’s Quiet room is located on the first floor of the Pavilion. Conveniently located near surgery, the room features comfortable furniture and soothing décor. It’s the perfect place to quietly enjoy some music (headphones) or a good book.

Our patient Smart rooms in the Pavilion are equipped with extra-large screen tablets for entertainment and obtaining information about your care team. Rooms include private bathrooms, lifts, secure storage and sleeping accommodations for guests.

The Pavilion is equipped with ten state of the art operating rooms, (OR) including two DaVinci robots and two rooms equipped with Mako robot-assisted technology for joint replacements. Five hybrid ORs support minimally invasive procedures and traditional “open” surgeries.

Labor and Delivery is located in Grand View’s West Building. Patients arriving at the hospital to deliver or rule out labor should enter through the Emergency Department of the Pavilion and proceed to Floor 2.

The Birth and Family Center, located on the second floor of the West Building provides a comfortable and quiet environment for parents bonding with their newborns. Each private room features an additional bed for parents / coaches who wish to stay overnight. This is a locked unit with enhanced state-of-the-art security features.
